Grassroots Kava House

What is kava? It's a drink made from the roots of a native south Pacific pepper plant. The drink, known to produce relaxing effects, has been a ceremonial and social centerpiece to many south Pacific people in places such as Hawaii, Tonga, Fiji and Vanuatu. Sounds pretty cool, right? This two story hangout not only offers traditional kava, but you'll also find a delicious variety of locally roasted coffee drinks and teas. Before you sip, check their schedule for meditation and yoga session in the expansive gathering room upstairs. Open daily starting at 7 a.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday.
