The leaves may not be changing colors here in St. Pete-Clearwater, but you'll find plenty of fun events and festivals this autumn.
September races into action with two thrilling off-shore powerboat races: the XInsurance Clearwater Offshore Nationals and the Monster Energy St. Pete Powerboat P1 Grand Prix.
In October, Coachman Park comes alive with the renowned Clearwater Jazz Holiday, a multi-day music festival featuring a diverse lineup of musical styles, including jazz, swing, blues, jamband, rock, folk, Americana, funk and Zydeco. The St. Pete Pier transforms into a pumpkin patch and fall wonderland, offering plenty of picture-perfect spots to capture the seasonal spirit. Other events include, the Clearwater Family Fall Festival and the Oldsmar Fall Extravaganza, which brings an elegant celebration to Oldsmar. Spooky fun awaits at Halloween on Central, a 22-block street festival that takes over St. Pete with Halloween excitement for all ages.
November brings cooler, more comfortable outdoor weather to Florida, making it the perfect time to enjoy festivals and events. Sip on fine wine and feel the smooth rhythm and blues as you stroll around the Dunedin Wines the Blues festival. Tarpon Springs Seafood Festival hosts a weekend full of delicious bites, while the stunning waterfront of St. Pete provides the perfect backdrop for the sophisticated Savor St. Pete food and wine festival at Vinoy Park.
If you’re looking for some fun on the sand, prepare to be amazed at Sanding Ovations. This event spans two weekends at the end of November, where you can admire world-class sand sculptures on the lovely beaches of Treasure Island.
Also in November, the SHINE St. Pete Mural Festival transforms the walls and streets of the city into stunning large-scale murals by local, national and international artists. The 10-day festival features special events and fun trolley tours to see the murals throughout St. Pete.
The St. Pete Run Fest brings three days of exciting running events set against scenic waterfront views. Whether you’re racing or cheering from the sidelines, there’s plenty of fun activities to keep everyone entertained.
